Three impactful projects supported by Think Funding have secured a combined total of approximately £350,000 through 12-month extensions under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). The extended programmes – Positive Communities, EmpowerBiz, and ExSEL (Expanding Social Enterprise in Leicester) – are set to continue their vital work within Leicester. .
Each initiative is focused on reducing inequality by helping individuals from disadvantaged areas and marginalised communities to move closer to employment, access enterprise support, and build sustainable futures.
Positive Communities works directly with economically inactive individuals, providing tailored mentoring, confidence building, and progression pathways into jobs or training.
EmpowerBiz offers culturally competent business support to racially minoritised entrepreneurs, helping them to start and grow businesses through targeted workshops, one-to-one advice, and access to finance.
ExSEL, a specialist social enterprise network programme, supports changemakers to develop community-driven ventures that tackle social issues through innovation and enterprise.
The UKSPF extension recognises the strong outcomes already achieved by these projects and will allow them to reach hundreds more individuals who might otherwise be excluded from mainstream provision.
Think Funding is proud to support these initiatives in securing resources that enable inclusive growth and social innovation where it is needed most.
